This 2-hour class focuses on the internal forms of the Ashtanga Vinyasa system. We progress through postures with attention to breath, bandhas + drishti, bridging the imaginal and physical realms through direct experience with the body. Transitions will be emphasized. We will stay longer in places to build heat and release in places we forget to notice. Month to month this class will build a vocabulary and explore the patterns and parallel relationships within the primary series, delving into intermediate series postures - we will Evolve together! Some prior experience with Ashtanga yoga is helpful. Open to all levels. Chai + conversation to follow.
